With water drinking reminder apps selling highly, the importance of drinking enough water has never been emphasized more than today. The eight glasses a day rule has now been touted as a myth because human body needs more than that in a day. Especially if we talk about a climate like ours, our daily water requirement is much more than eight glasses. It is always good to count how much water you consume. If you have already started and want to know how much water you should consume while at work, here’s some guidance coming your way.

our gender can affect the amount of water your body needs. Men usually need more water than women. This is because men are bulkier and weigh more than women. Also, the climate you live in can affect your water requirement.

3. The rule to know your water requirement

As a general rule to calculate one’s daily water requirement, you must follow this rule. For every 15 kilos of body weight, you must drink a liter of water. Let’s say, your weight is 60 kilos. Then you must consume 4 liters of water a day.

 

4. Best time to drink water in office

As long as you are satiating your thirst enough, the exact time of consumption does not matter much. However, it is best to have more water in the first half of the day and less in the second half of the day. This will help you prevent having to get up from sleep to urinate multiple times.

 

5. How much water should you drink in office?

As a rule, you can break down your consumption of water in the following way. If you have to drink 4 liters a day, drink 2.5 liters in the first half of the day and 1.5 liter in the second half of the day. Of this, try and have 2 to 2.5 liters while you are at work, where we assume your work hours to be eight.

 

6.Why drinking enough water at work is important

Though most of us have air-conditioned offices where we hardly feel to need to sip on water, drinking enough is definitely very important. If we talk from the point of view of benefiting work, firstly, proper hydration will make your brain work better and will improve your performance. Secondly, it will flush toxins from your body reducing fatigue and boosting your productivity.
